Bengaluru Police execute biggest drug haul in city’s history
Bangalore city police busted another major drug racket operating in the city and in an unprecedented manner the police seized 13 quintals ,(1300 kgs) of Ganja from the peddlers . Police say this is the biggest catch of illegal drug haul in the history of Bangalore police so far. The drug racket was well organised and the Ganja was stocked in specially built under ground cells in a village in Gulbarga district.
The police team laid a trap and posed a clients and raided the Ganja racketeers . In past few days Bengaluru City Police has intensified the operations against illegal and Psychotropic substances and seized arrested 10 people so far including the four arrestedtoday . City crime Branch Police is also investigating the abuse of synthetic drugs in the Kannada film industry and has arrested two film stars in this connection along with 8 others .
Bangalore city police commissioner Kamal Pant awarded the police team lead by DCP Anucheth who were involved in the modus operandi and decoy team to unearth the huge seizure which lasted 3 days .
Police say the Ganja seized was intended to be sold to youngesters and people in Bangalore at a cost of Rs 1200 per kg, which is considered to be cheaply available among the users . The gang targetted youngesters and page 3 clientele in Bangalore . Police is investigating the matter . a case has been registered under NDPS Act .
