Major changes in Engineering Courses by December: Dr Ashwath Narayan
Dr CN Ashwath Narayan, Minister of Higher Education, said on Monday, comprehensive reforms would be introduced in engineering education by December.
He was speaking while inaugurating the Ravi Shankar Centre of Excellence in an event organised by Magadi Road East West Engineering College in Association with Ethnotech Academy.
Stating, digitalization of teaching- learning process has been in progress in the government colleges, he added, this would be extended to private colleges also very soon.
Revolutionary reforms were being introduced in higher education and now institutions of higher education were being connected with industries. This would promote entrepreneurship among students, he opined.
“There will be a paradigm change in the engineering education including it’s administration, curriculum, internship etc. has been made mandatory,” Narayan stated.
If we do not prepare ourselves to face the global challenges we will would lose opportunities, Minister told.
Sri Nirmalanandanatha Swamiji of Adichunchanagiri Mutt, Dr Prakashanatha Swamiji of BGS and SJB Group of institutions, Rashmi Ravishankar of East West group of institutions, NAAC Director Dr Shyam Sundar, Ethnotech Academy Head Kiran Rajanna, Secretary of East West Educational institutions Tejas Kiran were present.
