Bengaluru gets ready for Aero India 2019
Airforce station Yelahanka is getting all set to see the 12th Edition of Aero India kick off on the 20th February. As over a 1000 workers are busy setting up the hangars , Chalets and the Flying Display Areas to give the Airforce station a grand look.
The Airforce officers in the meanwhile are giving finishing touches to the flying schedules , security arrangements and coordinating VVIP movement schedules for the 12th Edition of the Aero India . Under the leadership and guidance of Air Officer Commanding of the Yelahanka Airforce Station , Air Commoder Ravuri Sheetal th team is working out the logistics and other arrangements.
Speaking informally to the media at Yelahanka, Air Commoder Ravuri Sheetal said , ” Though the decision came a few days late but we were prepared for the arrangements. We have done this many times over and the Infrastructure here is ready for Aero India 2019. We are excited and working towards the deadline”.
The Aero India 2019 , has an impressive line-up of aircrafts with the Indian Airforce and the Hindustan Aeronautics Limited , who will be managing the Aero India 2019. While there will be about 71 aircrafts flying , the static display area has seen confirmed participation of 39 aircrafts. “While the Rafale will be flying and also will be a part of the static display, some international majors are yet to confirm participation” added Air Cdr Sheetal Ravuri.
The security is a huge challenge as like the Aero India 2017 , even this time over 5 lac visitors are expected. 10 national and state level security agencies are coordinating a 3 layer security cover for the event which is expected to be inaugurated by the Prime Minister.
The highlight of the event is the delegations from over 12 countries and a 150 plus companies who are expected to participate in Aero India 2019.
