JDS Congress Coordination meeting exposes differences

The anticipation surrounding the much awaited coordination committee meeting held on Friday brought to fore the differences between the alliances participants . The Coordination  committee cleared certain things including ministry expansion,  appointment to the board chairmanships.  In a show-down the verbal altercation between former chief minister, Siddaramaiah, and the current one, H D Kumaraswamy, on the issues of cutting down rice being given under ‘Anna Bhagya’ scheme, and transfer of officials without taking ministers of the coalition partner into confidence, it is gathered.

The Congress which is facing a challenge on expansion refused to give any details about expansion of ministry and board chairmanships. The Janata Dal (secular) however looks more organizd as far as things are concerned .  The internal factioalism in the congress has become a huge challenge for the party as it is ridddled with potenntial rebels willling to  quit the party.

The coordination committee was a short affair , and the meeting which lasted less than 30 minutes . The Congress leaders made an effort to show unity by arriving together for the meeting . They posed to the media to give the indication that everything was hunky dory at the meeting.  Newsbasics learns that Siddaramaiah directly questioned the chief minister about unilateral decisions being taken on the transfer of officials, something that has become a big bane for the coalition.
