Dr P R S Chetan , Commanding Officer of the Karnataka Civil Defence has a task on his hands , as he leads the Corona Task Force , Karnataka. The Man who has several meritorious contributions to the state is  satisfied man two weeks into the battle against Corona.  He and his men are the steering force of the Corona Sainikas , set up by the Government Of Karnataka to help the citizens

With tasks ranging from distribution of cooked food and groceries to the migrant labourers across the city to ensuring support to the exhausted police force which has been working day and night. ” The challenge is to ensure that the food reaches the hungry on time. As we se\it down at the war room to ensure that the Civil Defence volunteers ensurre that food sourced is delivered to those who need it the most” says Dr P R S Chetan.

The Civil Defence has deployed over 500 volunteers to support the mission of the Labour department to reach out to daily wage earners and the migrant labour. DW Hudam Ur Rehman and his team members from the Civil Defence assist in ensuring that food packets are moved across the city especially on the outskirts of the city. ” It’s satisfying that we are able to help our city Bengaluru when itt needs us the most” says Rehman

The over 500 Civil Defence men and women play a crucial role in connecting the missing links in the Corona Sainikas chain. ” These young men and women have once again justified their Uniform. This time the challenge was bigger as it is a long battle against Corona . We at the Civil Defence ensure that the team stays dedicated and motivated by appreciating our force members when they do exemplary work” says Dr Chetan.
