Like last year, the state budget for the year 2023-24 will be pro-people and the entire Karnataka can expect something from the budget, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai. Talking to reporters at the airport here on Friday, he said there is task force all over the state and it will be functioning all the time. As the jumbo menace increased, he chaired a meeting and gave instructions to constitute task force and provided all facilities. A similar thing has been done for the leopard menace and provided human resources, equipment, vehicles and other things. The officials of the Forest Department have been asked to take villagers into confidence, impart training to villagers by forming teams and patrolling. The confidence of people living on the fringes of forest must be boosted. It will be helpful for villagers if they are taught how to deal with the wild animals, watch it’s movements and group behaviour. The government will take all steps to keep the leopard menace under check.
