Colourful Passing Out Parade at AFTC
At an impressive Graduation Parade of Aeronautical Engineering Course at the Air Force Technical College (AFTC), Jalahalli in Bengaluru 40 officers consisting of 28 Indian Air Force Officers including 09 women officers passed out . The ceremony also saw 10 Foreign Officers and 02 Border Security Force Officers completing the course successfully.
Air Marshal Pankaj Aneja, Air Officer Commanding- in- Chief, Maintenance Command reviewed the Graduation Parade. The parade which marked the culmination of 74 weeks of training
The Air Marshal, in his address, greeted all the Air Warriors and Civilian staff of Air Force Technical College, retired fraternity, graduating officers & their families. He emphasized that engineers of Indian Air Force play a vital role in ensuring availability of aircraft and other weapon systems in both peace and in the face of hostilities. The Reviewing officer emphasised the importance of Aerospace safety in ensuing the preservation and availability of Indian Air Force assets. He called upon the young officers to keep on upgrading their knowledge and skills as per ever changing technological environment, lead from the front, build strong teams, exhibit highest degree of professionalism and maintain impeccable integrity with unwavering commitment towards the service and the nation.
He awarded trophies and medallions to the officers who excelled in the course. The prestigious ‘President’s Plaque’ for the Best All Round Officer was awarded to Flying Officer Rahul Jain and the ‘Vice President’s Sword’ for the Second Best all round officer was awarded to Flying Officer Harineet Singh.
Air Warrior Drill team of the IAF performed “ Drill 2 Thrill” thrilling rifle movements in nine different formations after the passing out parade.
