NGO launches job portal for Bengaluru Youth
SANCHALANA , a voluntary organisation working in the field of youth empowerment as a part of its continued effort to support the youth the organisation is dedicating a project in the name of “Unnathi” [Progress] which involves career support, training and skill development programmes with a special focus on rural and physically challenged youth.
The organisation has created a website www.unnathi.careers which would act as a common platform to candidates looking for a right career and the corporate looking out for right candidates. The corporates can enrol themselves and post their jobs on the site, which in turn would be matched with the profiles of the candidates.
The unique feature is that the website has an option to take ‘online tests’ for the candidates which would assess the skills of the candidates. If the candidates who have enrolled on the website are lacking in any of the required skills then the organisation would try to provide training to those candidates to enhance their skills.
The organisation would tie-up with local industries and associations which are looking for right candidates and try to connect them locally. This would reduce the migration of youth from their hometowns towards cities and metros.
Prem Prasad Shetty, President of SANCHALANA explained that “the object of this unique project is to reach out to the youth especially in rural areas and the physically challenged categories. By supporting these youths & enhancing their skills as per the requirement of the industry we can make them employable. ‘
