A high-level delegation of World Design Organization (WDO) to formulate ‘Karnataka Design Policy’ with the ambition of achieving integrated and sustainable development of cities, IT and BT Minister Dr. C.N. Had an extended discussion with Aswatthanarayana on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said, “It is a challenge to develop our cities scientifically. From this point of view, there is a huge demand for design in the contemporary world. It is a challenge that we have to develop cities like Bangalore with a population of more than one crore in such a way that people can build a beautiful life. Thus, this idea was exchanged with WTO.”

WWDO President Dr. David Kusuma said, “In order to develop Bangalore as an attractive city, it is necessary for the government to work in coordination with organizations like Urban Planning Department of BBMP, Bangalore Urban Development Authority, Education Department, Urban Development Department of the government.”

“According to the WHO study, there are opportunities to select Bangalore for the Protopolis concept for integrated and sustainable development. Discussions were held with the Minister on what needs to be done to take this to the next level,” he said.

“For the Protopolis project to progress, the government needs to establish an independent infrastructure system. This has been discussed with Ashwathnarayan. A meeting of the governing body of the World Design Organization will be held in the month of March to discuss this,” he said.

Constituency MLA and Minister Dr. CN Aswatthanarayan participated in the Sandal Urus, which was held on Monday by Muslim devotees at the Parsi Garden in Bandhavya Nagar, Malleswara. Community members welcomed the minister on his arrival at Urus.

Speaking on the occasion, he said, “Hundreds of communities, tens of religions in India have been living in harmony and harmony for thousands of years. This diversity has led to peace and prosperity in our society.”

“Communities should respect each other for our culture and traditions. We all should live based on the principle of giving like brothers and sisters. Through this, we should give our contribution to the progress of the state and the country. Community-based life will develop feelings of coexistence and brotherhood,” he said.

“Karnataka is a garden of peace among all races. We have never seen aggression. No one has ever developed a sense of isolation here. The influence of our religion and bhakti movements is also in this land. The state is at the top today because of tolerance,” he added.
