The Congress leaders who have vowed to defeat the ruling BJP in the state have embarked on a soft yatra. But this time Kai leaders are not showing strength together. Instead, he will do a separate yatra.
Leader of the Opposition Siddaramaiah will conduct a bus yatra from Bidar district of North Karnataka from today, while KPCC President DK Shivakumar will lead a Yatra from Kolar district of South Karnataka.

DK Sivakumar arrived in Kolar via Hoskote route from Bengaluru by bus at 7.30 am. From there they reach the front door.

At 10 a.m., worship is offered at the Kurudumale Mahaganapati temple at Mulabagilu. Later, at 11 am, Prajadhwani, who is in Mulabagilu town, will participate in the program.

After the completion of this program i.e. at 3 pm they will arrive at KGF from Mulabagilu by bus. At 4 pm, KGF will participate in the Prajadhwani program of the assembly constituency and speak. He will return to Bangalore from KGF at 6.30 pm. DK Shivakumar will visit all the districts of South Karnataka.

On the other hand, Siddaramaiah, who is also a former chief minister and leader of the opposition party, will try to attract voters for his party by conducting a bus yatra from Bidar’s Basava Kalyan. The main objective of the Congress leaders is to create awareness about BJP’s anti-people policies.

It is said that the Congress has finalized the names of potential candidates for 224 constituencies for the state assembly elections. Out of this, 67 incumbents are guaranteed to get tickets. The potential list already prepared should be sent to the High Command by the Screening Committee.

But the Congress High Command has not formed a screening committee yet. After forming the screening committee within a week, the list of potential candidates will be sent to the High Command. Therefore, it is likely that the list of candidates will be published by February 15.

KPCC president DK Sivakumar clarified that the criteria for allotment of tickets for the next Karnataka assembly elections will be followed compulsorily.

He said that the State Election Committee meeting is going on regarding ticket distribution. DK Sivakumar informed yesterday that tickets will be distributed on the basis of constituency wise survey and district level report.

Almost all Congress MLAs have done well. There is no challenge or confusion in ticket allocation. Tickets cannot be issued to all applicants. We all have to work hard to bring the party to power. Dikeshi has implied that there is a position to be given after coming to power.
