Fire breaks out at commercial high-rise near Jakkur aerodrome in Bengaluru
A massive fire broke out at a multi-story commercial building at Jakkur aerodrome in Karnataka capital Bengaluru on Tuesday Afternoon.
The fire was reported on the top floors of a commercial building. Four fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the blaze. The building is house to several corporate offices. Most employees were evacuated from the building on time. Additional fire tenders were called in to contain the massive fire.
Reports suggested that the floor where the fire took place was occupied by Tata consultancy’s Tata advanced systems. Fire fighters have now doused the fire. There were no casualties as of now, said police.
Employees were made to evacuate once fire was spotted. People were evacuated with the help of cranes. Fire officials are also did a recce of the building to ensure no one is trapped.
“The fire has been doused now. No casualties as of now. Many IT companies have offices in this building. Police are ascertaining the reason behind the fire,”
