Karnataka DGP is ‘Nalayak’, and BJP’s agent : Congress President DK Shivakumar.
Karnataka Congress president DK Shivakumar on Tuesday pulled up the state DG & IGP, Praveen Sood, calling him a ‘Nalayak’ (useless) and also accusing him of being an agent of the ruling party BJP.
DK Shivakumar said that strict action will be taken against senior officer, Praveen, if Congress is voted to power in the state.
“This DGP is a ‘Nalayak’. Let our government come. We will take action against him. Congress had also written to ECI to remove him. I thought he (Praveen Sood) was a respected man. Immediately, a case should be registered against him and he should be arrested,” said DK Shivakumar.
DK Shivakumar said police have registered several cases against Congress leaders and not even a single case against BJP leaders.
“He has finished three years in service. How many days do you want to keep and worship him? He has been filing cases only against Congress. He has registered more than 25 cases against us and not a single case against BJP leaders. Let our government come. We will take action against him. And, against all these police officers who have been working unethically to protect this government,” DK Shivakumar said.
DK Shivakumar had expressed confidence that the Congress would win the Karnataka elections and that only the Grand Old Party could take the nation forward. He also attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who is scheduled to visit Karnataka, stating why the PM did not visit the state when it was struggling with Covid-19 or droughts. D K Shivakumar also accused the Basavaraj Bommai-led Karnataka government of massive corruption and said the CM is grappling with the aftershocks of the MLA scandal that has surfaced in the state.
