Matter of proud that the Government institute is giving stiff competition to private :CM Bommai
A government institute doing commercial business is a big challenge. Despite several restrictions, it is giving stiff competition to private companies which is a matter of pride, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Speaking at the golden jubilee celebrations of Marketing Communication & Advertising Limited (MCA) here on Wednesday, he said a man completing 50 years is not a big thing but a company crossing the 50 years mark is an important occasion. Lots of changes have taken place in the country in the last 50 years. Several changes too have been witnessed in the State in different fields. Despite this, growing by leaps and bounds by maintaining identity is a big achievement.
The CM said everything changed post-Liberalisation, Privatisation, and Globalisation in 1990. The working style and types of the government also changed. The percentage of private in the government sectors increased. Confidence in private companies increases when things don’t work properly in the system. If any one institution works well it will benefit the government. If MCA is successful it will also help the government.
He said technology has developed and digital marketing has come. The marketing system has changed due to a lot of competition. Amidst this, the MCA must stand up, and for this, it needs to improve its creativity. “I have a close relationship with the MCA. I have got many creative advertisements prepared by MCA while I was Water Resources Minister, Home Minister, and Law & Parliamentary Affairs Minister in the B.S.Yediyurappa Government. I expect a lot of creativity from you”.
He said they develop the art of conveying the subjects briefly but clearly. The government wishes for a good quality business at competitive rates. They must be aware of the people’s response to the government programs and how creatively they could be reached the people. They must make two things, retrospection and introspection, and what more needs to be done.
